YouTube, NASA and several other partners recently launched the competition "Design Space lab" for students, encouraging students a love of science, engineering and mathematics.
60 top designers will be announced in January 2012. Those who reached the finals will experience weightless flights and received many other awards.
Two winners will have the opportunity to fly to the International Space Station on board this summer for fuel and food of the Japanese HTV-3. In addition, they also can choose to fly to Japan to see their designs being launched into space or learning center to train astronauts Russia's Star City.
"The competition will make the young enthusiasts with space exploration and scientific research in life", Leland Melvin, a former astronaut and now works for NASA's education center said.
The Organizing Committee consists of many large scientific character such as physicist Stephen Hawking famous astronomer and chief executive, Bill Gerstenmaier of NASA with the astronauts from the International Space Station ISS. The contest will be broadcast live on YouTube.
