Chrome coming up to No. 2 of Firefox

StatCounter Data indicate that, to March 12/2011 browser Google will surpass Firefox, rose to No. 2 after IE.

Google's Chrome is Firefox aim rather as the second most popular browser, according to a company Web statistics.

Statistics from StatCounter, an Ireland company that tracks browser usage through the analysis tools to provide free web site, shows that, within this year will surpass Firefox to Chrome ranked No. 2 as Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE).

 
StatCounter Data released on Wednesday (28 / 9) show that average market share of global users of Chrome in September was 23.6%, 26.8% down to Firefox, while IE's lead with 41.7%.

The rise of Chrome in 2011 was amazing: This browser has been 8% earn more market share since January  2011, equivalent to 50% growth.

At the same time, Firefox has lost 4% market share, 13% negative growth, while IE also lost 4%, equivalent to a decrease of 9%.


This means that Chrome has drawn a division Firefox and IE users.

If this trend continues from now until the end of the year, Chrome will have approximately Firefox market share in November, then pass its rival in December, then Chrome will account for 26.6% market share Firefox browser and only the remaining 25.3% share.
 StatCounter is not the only company to track share public Web statistics the browser market share. Data provided by Net Applications, a U.S. company, showing a greater gap between Firefox and Chrome: According to the company in August, the browser market share in the desktop group of Firefox is 22.6% and 15.5% at Chrome.

Based on data from Net Applications made, Chrome could reach 17.8% of the market in late 2011, but Firefox is expected to be 22.3%. But the momentum will last, Chrome will overtake Firefox on the charts in the mid 2012 Net Applications.

As Net Applications adds weight to the numbers of them from many users to navigate to sites they monitor to better estimates of market share in the country, the company's data theoretically draw a more accurate picture has been covered by the vast Chinese market.
